RUMOR: Star Wars 1313 Put On Hold

Development on Star Wars 1313 has apparently been put on hold by LucasArts, according to a new report.

Kotaku is claiming that development on the game has undergone “some tumultuous turns” since Disney acquired the franchise. The site claims that the team at LucasArts has had its development path changed to work on games for the upcoming new Star Wars films.

Three unrelated sources familiar with game development at LucasArts told the site that the game has been put on hold following the acquisition by Disney, and that this may force the game to miss its projected 2013 release window.

A LucasArts spokesperson offered the following statement: “LucasArts has been working diligently to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities that the new Star Wars movies present.” I think our chances of seeing Star Wars 1313 at E3 again this year just got a little smaller.
