Ubisoft is interested in acquiring a host of THQ studios and IPs, according to a new report.
Sources close to the matter have told MCV that Ubisoft is currently in talks with THQ over the acquisition of five of its studios and several IPs–including Saints Row, Darksiders, Company of Heroes, Red Faction, Homefront, and WWE.
The site claims that Ubisoft is currently negotiating with THQ over the sale. However, it is willing to hold off until THQ is forced to sell off its assets at a bargain price if it needs to. If this bid is successful then Ubisoft will have full control over most of THQ’s franchises.
