Nintendo is planning on releasing a redesigned Wii console next month known as the Wii Mini, according to a new report.
Nintendo World Report claims to have received an internal release schedule from a major retailer which states that a Wii Mini console is scheduled for release on December 7, 2012. The console will be bundled with a Wii sensor bar, Nunchuck, and Wii Remote Plus, according to the listing.
When asked to comment on a possible to console release Nintendo said that it doesn’t comment on rumor and speculation. A much cheaper and compact Wii console would be a clever idea just before Christmas, but it would have to a significant price drop to be worthwhile.
