Rumor: Will Mirror’s Edge 2 use the Battlefield 3 engine?

Well now, here’s an interesting rumor! According to Official PlayStation Magazine, they’ve heard word that the talk going around that Mirror’s Edge 2 might use the Frostbite 2 engine – aka, the engine powering Battlefield 3 – may indeed be true.

“The Frostbite 2 engine will pave the way for Mirror’s Edge to make a free-running return,” the magazine said, relaying information they had received from their sources.

If true, it’s certainly a good engine to use for the game.
