Sources close to Polygon report that the Xbox One will feature Skype-based remote play and two-way conversations through the Kinect.

According to Polygon’s report, the two-way conversations with the Xbox One will be pretty limited. The scenario they describe involves the Kinect not recognizing someone in a crowded room and asking them to identify themselves. Once done, the Xbox One would then welcome the newly identified person.

As for the remote play, Polygon’s sources say this feature—which is similar to the PlayStation 4’s Gakai-based remote play—will operate through Skype on Xbox One. When the option is selected, a prompt pops up on Skype asking if the player is OK with their friend taking control. Remote play can be ended with the push of a button.

Polygon’s sources say that the Xbox One might not launch with these features, but will incorporate them through updates within the first few months of its launch. The remote play feature is reported to be fully functional.
