According to reports Sony is planning on giving the PlayStation Network a serious makeover.

Reg Hardware reports that the new PSN will feature a more image-driven layout along the lines of Xbox Live and Steam.

Sony is keen to make the PSN less cluttered and will redesign the game and movie sections to feature an IMDB style database.

The PlayStation Store will also receive a makeover with Sony ditching the blue colour scheme in favour of bright colours and a black background, they are also preparing a “Deals of the Week” section.

Reg Hardware claim that the redesign is currently going through internal testing.
