(RUMOUR) Resident Evil 6 To Be Canon, Launching In 2012?

Last week the rumour mill really started turning for Resident Evil 6 after an image appeared online which seemingly showed the games logo at a behind closed doors event at Comic-Con.

Well Official PlayStation Magazine UK has added to those rumours by suggesting in their Rumour section that the game will be another canon story like Operation Raccoon City and will be releasing in 2012.

“Operation Raccoon City will be followed up by another canon entry – Resident Evil 6 – in 2012″

Is 2012 too early for the next game to be released considering that Operation Raccoon City isn’t even out the door yet?
