Sony will apparently have Taiwan based partners begin production of of the PlayStation 4 by the end of 2011 for release in 2012.

Digitimes is reporting that according to Taiwan based component makers the PlayStation 4 will feature body movement-based control similar to Kinect.

Foxconn and Pegatron Technology who are currently assemblers of the PlayStation 3 will undertake the assembling of the PlayStation 4 also, according to Digitimes sources the shipment volume of the PS4 in 2012 is 20 million units.

Now take this with a massive pinch of salt as this is highly unlikely although it does tie in with other reports and developers claiming a 2012 release.
