Microsoft is set to introduce free-to-play games to the Xbox 360 according to a recent report.
Website Develop cites “several sources connected to the matter” claiming that Microsoft is calling developers to discuss possible free-to-play deals, including using monetised items and premium upgrades.
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 operating system will incorporate a micro-transaction system which will allow for items to be exchanged for Microsoft Points on the fly according to Develop.
Microsoft refused to comment when asked about the possible support of free-to-play games.
