More than one million players have now jumped into RuneScape Old School, and to celebrate Jagex has announced that the fan-requested God Wars dungeon will be added to the game.

The developer originally released RuneScape Old School–a retro version of the MMO which freezes the game as it was in August 2007–back in February. Since then over one million players have stepped into the time machine to try it out.

“Seeing RuneScape Old School hit the million-player mark so soon after launch is a great milestone for the game and our players have joined the celebration by voting for the game’s most epic update to date,” said Phil Mansell, RuneScape‘s executive producer.

Jagez is now allowing fans to vote on content updates for the retro version of RuneScape, and following the latest round of voting 89 percent asked for the God Wars dungeon. The dungeon features four bosses and offers players a chance to obtain a legendary Godsword.
