Saints Row IV will be receiving seasonal DLC just in time for the holidays, publisher Deep Silver Announced today.

Titled “How the Saints Save Christmas,” the DLC involves players rescuing Santa from imprisonment in a simulation. The DLC will be available to season pass holders for free, and to everyone else for $6.99.

In addition to the Christmas-themed add-on, Deep Silver also announced a Saints Row Sing-A-Long Christmas Carol Contest, in which interested parties can download the lyrics to a Saints Row IV version of Jingle Bells and an audio track of the instrumental and use these to create a video of themselves singing said corrupted Jingle Bells to submit to Deep Silver. The best entries will be featured in a Saints Row video message and receive a Gioteck EX-05 headset, Razer DeathAdder ergonomic mouse, Gloryfy Limited Edition G3 Saints Row unbreakable sunglasses, and the official Bradygames guide for Saints Row IV.

“How the Saints Save Christmas” launches on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 December 11 (and, of course, requires a copy of Saints Row IV to play).
