Saints Row: The Third is free-to-play this weekend on Steam, and those of you who are interested can now pre-load the game ready for when it unlocks.

There is however a slight roundabout way that you have to go to actually start the pre-load though. Normally when a game is free for a weekend it appears in your library, but it appears that the pre-load has been released a little early and so to start it you have to check your purchase history and it should be there.

Expect it to appear in your library either sometime later today or tomorrow. The actual free-to-play weekend doesn’t start until Friday so you have plenty of time to download it.
