Posted on June 3, 2014 AT 11:40am

Samurai Warriors 4 will launch on PS3, PS4, and PS Vita October 21, publisher Tecmo Koei Games announced today.

The latest large-scale hack-and-slash action game from Omega Force will be debuted in full during E3 2014. When it launches, the PS3 version will run for $49.99, the PS4 version $59.99, and the Vita version $39.99.

Samurai Warriors 4 will feature over 50 playable characters, including Takatora Todo, Naotora Ii, and Munenori Yagyu—all of whom were once only available in the Japanese releases of Samurai Warriors. Samurai Warriors’ fourth installment will also have new battle modes, allowing players to switch between two characters in realtime, cooperative play, and cross-save functionality.

Expect more on Samurai Warriors 4 come next week, during our E3 coverage.
