Scarlet Red PS3 Coming Soon to UK

THE BUZZ: If you live in the land of the Kingdoms United, then you’ll soon have another color option to choose from when buying a PS3.
EGM’s TAKE: The hardware is now up on amazon.co.uk for pre-ordering, with an updated release date of May 4th. I’m not sure if this new Scarlet Red PS3 is the exact same shade as the Japanese red model, but if so, it actually isn’t bad—I saw that and the Japanese blue PS3 in person during my last trip to Osaka, and they both look better live than in photos.
How about us here in North America? No word for now. Unfortunately, Sony Computer Entertainment of America seems to hate the idea of giving consumers color choices, so I wouldn’t exactly be holding my breath.
The 320GB Scarlet Red PS3 will be £249.99 when it hits on May 4th, 2012.
