PEGI, the European classification board, has rated Rage: The Scorchers, suggesting that Bethesda and id Software plan to release some new content for their 2011 shooter.

Given that the title is Rage and the subtitle references a clan cut from the original game before release, seems to all but confirm that the rating is for DLC content. There’s still no official word from either Bethesda or id, but expect that to change in the coming weeks.

The real mystery is why Bethesda has waited this long to release DLC for the game, especially given the lukewarm reception that it received at launch. Most players will have traded the game in by now.
