THE BUZZ: A second developer dairy for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare has revealed that the game is, “the Remedy team letting loose and just having a bit of fun.”

The first diary discussed the massive amount of content that Remedy had squeezed into the game.

EGM’s TAKE: Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is like a spin-off series for a television show, where new fans can jump on board and enjoy the story without having played the original, and returning fans can still find plenty of nods to the original. The new main villain Mr Scratch is an Urban Legend told about Wake since he disappeared, now Wake has returned he must defeat Mr Scratch to save himself. We love the idea of a real main villain in the game especially as the mad side of Alan Wake was always our favorite.
