The Battlefield Hardline beta may be over, but that doesn’t mean that Visceral and EA are done testing the upcoming shooter. The developer has announced that a second beta will be released for all platforms this fall.
“If you didn’t get a chance to play the Battlefield Hardline beta this time around don’t worry, we have your back as we’ll be launching another beta this fall on all announced platforms that will showcase more,” said Steve Papoutsis, VP and GM of Visceral Games. “Stay tuned to hear more later this year.”
Papoutsis also shared a few details about some of the maps that the final game will include. “We have plenty of new modes in the game that really play off the cop and criminal theme, as well as the return of fan-favorites,” he said. “The variety in maps is also something that Battlefield fans have never experienced before, from subterranean grow labs to the streets of Miami, complete with all the vibe and flavor that city has to offer.”
The first beta went live for PlayStation 4 and PC during EA’s E3 2014 press conference, and officially ended yesterday, following a one week extension.
Battlefield Hardline is set to launch October 21 in North America and October 23 in Europe (October 24 in the U.K.) for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
