Second-Hand Wii U Buyers Can Download the Console’s Past Purchases

It has been discovered that Wii U digital titles can be re-downloaded free-of-charge on second-hand Wii U consoles–Nintendo won’t like that one bit.

A forum poster on NeoGAF claims to have bought a second-hand Wii U and discovered that they could download Trine 2 and Nano Assault Neo for free. This could be a result of downloaded titles being tethered to the console and not the Network ID used to buy it.

If this is the case then second-hand Wii U buyers are going to be enjoying a lot of free goodies later in the console’s life cycle.
