Posted on April 21, 2013 AT 09:00am

The second round of THQ’s bankruptcy biddingwhich included the Darksider series, Red Faction series, and moreclosed on April 15.

According to court documents, there were 17 final bids that are expected to bring in $6 million to $7 million.

Six lots were on the table for this second round of auctions:

  • Darksiders series
  • Red Faction series
  • Homeworld series
  • MX series
  • Other Owned Software, including Big Beach Sports, Destroy All Humans!, Summoner, and more
  • Other Licensed Software, including Marvel Super Hero, Supreme Commander, Worms, and more

As previously reported, teamPixelafter trying to crowd-fund the income to bid on Homeworldwere outbid by an unnamed party.

Details on the other bidders have yet to be disclosed, but the aforementioned court documents indicate that bidders will be presenting their offers to the court in May, and that closing sales are expected to wrap up by the end of that month. So as teamPixel suggested, additional details ought to emerge sometime in the coming weeks.

More on the post-THQ lives of these intellectual properties as that information surfaces.

Does this mean Darksiders lives on? Certainly seems so. I certainly hope so.
