Secret Bases return in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Posted on July 9, 2014 AT 05:56am

Nintendo has announced that Secret Bases will return in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, allowing players to create their own personal areas within the game world.

The private area lets users create mazes and traps for people who visit, set Pokémon battle rules, and event “transform their Secret Base into their own Pokémon Gym.” After the are is set  up, players will be able to share their secret base via StreetPass or QR code.

While in another players’ base you can become Secret Pals with them. Secret pals can interact with objects in the base, share decorations, raise the level of Pokémon in the base, or help eggs hatch faster. if that wasn’t enough each base features a flag in the PC that can be captured, the more flags a player captures the higher their rank goes, allowing them to improve their Secret Pals skills.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are set to launch November 21 in North America and November 28 in Europe for Nintendo 3DS.
