See Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Re-Imagined As A Commodore 64 Game

Posted on July 29, 2012 AT 01:15pm

Rockstar should be extremely proud of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City—not only does it remain their best title in the GTA series to date, but it’s still drawing a healthy amount of love from its fans. Most recently, Rockstar caught wind of a neat gameplay video that showcases what the final mission of Vice City would have looked like if the whole thing was a Commodore 64 title.

Naturally, we caution you to not read any further if you’re sensitive to spoilers about the game.

And if you haven’t finished it yet, shame on you—you’re probably that same guy who’s also 100+ hours into Final Fantasy XII on sidequests and mob hunts alone, but not even halfway through the main story.

We know the type.

No, really, bookmark this page, then go take an hour and finish Vice City. We’ll wait.

But we digress. Check out the footage below of the re-imagined “Keep Your Friends Close” finale mission in all of its retro C64 glory, just a small part of some great 1980′s-themed work from the Majami Hiroz Show on YouTube.
