Titanfall

Respawn Entertainment has finally shared a few details about Titanfall’s final Expedition DLC map, Swampland.

Swampland has gone through several design changes since it was originally created in 2011. The map was supposed to be part of the base game’s lineup, but was cut due to time constraints. “The first version of Swampland was an almost completely flat level with yellow fog and towering redwoods,” designer Chris “Soupy” Dionne explained.

“The final version only began to take form after design on Titanfall was finished. At that point, Swampland had been shelved for almost two years while other levels and design work had taken priority.

“With Swampland I tried to add a unique experience to Titanfall while staying true to the original themes of the level, like overwhelming nature and its intersection with technology. This was a level born of heavy experimentation and iteration.”

Above you will find a video that details the transformation Swampland has undergone since its initial conception.

Expedition is set to launch later this month for $9.99. A Titanfall Season Pass is also available for $24.99, offering access to Expedition and two other future add-ons.
