Sega Put Together This 300-Page Hardcover Book About Sonic
Posted on July 9, 2012 AT 04:14pm
Sonic The Hedgehog is over 20 years old, and that’s pretty much an eternity in the video game world. Technically, he’s old enough to legally drink with his usual plate of chili dogs, and given that, maybe it’s time to look back on the two decades of history that’s been trailing along in his dust.
To that end, Udon Entertainment and Sega are co-producing a massive hardcover book that covers the entire Sonic The Hedgehog franchise, from the very first game on Sega Genesis to the latest releases on PS3, Xbox 360, and all the other modern systems.
According to Sega’s blog, the book even covers crossovers and cameo appearances, so you can assume that a page or two will be devoted to Sonic’s roles in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Phantasy Star Universe. Heck, maybe they’ll even have a section devoted to the awesome Archie Comics series that’s still running today.
You can check out some preview pages of the book at Sega of America’s Flickr page or the official blog post. If you want to pick it up for pre-order, you can order it on Amazon for a tidy sum of roughly 33 dollars.
