THE BUZZ: Capcom has released two new videos for Street Fighter X Tekken at this year’s New York Comic-Con. The first explains the game’s new Gem System, while the other contains loads of gameplay footage.

Gems boost speed and strength with your character being equipped with up to five. These gems must be activated by meeting certain conditions; for instance the strength gem is activated by landing consecutive normal attacks that, once activated, make your attacks do more damage.

EGM’s TAKE: The gem system will certainly make fights more interesting and adds another strategic element – especially two of the same fighters face-off.

What do you think of the new system?
