Tomb Raider

Eidos Montreal has announced that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will feature a New Game Plus option.

When selecting New Game Plus, players will be able to carry over all skills, weapons, outfits, equipment upgrades, and gear earned during the original playthrough. As well as this, players gain access to three new paths for Lara to master: Serpent Path, Jaguar Path, and Eagle Path.

The Path of the Serpent is based on stealth and subterfuge, and sees Lara taking down her foes one by one using decoys, sound, and camouflage. While the Path of the Jaguar focuses on hunting and combat, and makes use of Lara’s agility and close-ranged skills to take down enemies. Finally, the Path of the Eagle puts an emphasis on traversal and resourcefulness.

Each of the three paths above will offer players exclusive rewards for progressing through them, including new abilities and new themed weapons and outfits.

In other news, Eidos recently confirmed that it has no plans to bring the game to Nintendo Switch.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider launches September 14th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
