Shadowrun Returns Berlin DLC Delayed to January, Becoming Full-Sized Campagin

Posted on August 19, 2013 AT 10:29am

Shadowrun Returns‘ “Berlin” DLC has been delayed from its projected October release to January 2014, developer Harebrained Schemes announced.

The delay is in direct response to fan feedback. Originally intended as a “modest-sized campaign,” the Berlin content will now be fleshed out to rival Shadowrun Returns‘ launch campaign, “The Dead Man’s Switch,” in terms of size and scope.

“We’ve heard a lot of questions from you wondering what to expect from Berlin,” reads the company’s latest post on the Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter page. “Well, our original plan called for a modest-sized campaign that we could ship by the end of October. However, after listening to your forum discussions and feedback, it became clear that you would like to see something bigger (and so would we). So, we’ve decided to spend more time on Berlin to create an experience closer to the size of Dead Man’s Switch. A story of that scope will take longer, so we’re targeting January for its release.”

Shadowrun Returns is now available on Windows PC and Mac OS X through Steam. Check out my review of “The Dead Man’s Switch” for more on Harebrained Schemes’ notable Kickstarter success.
