The iOS and Android versions of Shadowrun Returns are now available for purchase, developer Harebrained Schemes announced today.
“When Jordan and I created the original world of Shadowrun, he didn’t predict that people would one day interact with that world on touch-screen computers more powerful than the one that took us to the moon,” reads a post on the game’s Kickstarter page. “It is extremely gratifying that the enthusiasm for this game setting has stood the test of time and that we are now able to deliver it on mobile devices to a new generation of gamers.”
The Shadowrun Returns iOS and Android versions do not contain the content editor, nor access to community-created content. Harebrained Schemes does, however, intend to release bundles of the very best community content on tablets “at some point in the future.”
Tablet users can grab the iOS version of Shadowrun Returns from Apple App Store and the Android version from Google Play. Both are priced at $9.99. For more on Shadowrun‘s proper return to RPG form, check out my review.
