Shaquille O’Neal and developer Big Deez Productions’ Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign successfully concluded yesterday with 105 percent of their goal.

The campaign, which launched March 6, aimed for a funding goal of $450,000, and managed to close out yesterday at 11:59 p.m. PT with $473,884. The game is described as a modern take on the classic side-scrolling beat ‘em up genre, a blend of “Streets of Rage meets Street Fighter meets Devil May Cry,” according to the Indiegogo description. A Legend Reborn also represents an opportunity for Shaq to make amends for 1994’s Shaq Fu, a title largely regarded among the very worst games of all time.

Developer Big Deez includes team members who’ve worked on Halo, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Alan Wake, Spec Ops: The Line, Battlefield, Killzone, Max Payne, and Duke Nukem. O’Neal himself will once more be lending his likeness, as well as his voice.

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is expected to launch on Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
