Sega has announced that Shenmue and Shenmue II are coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

“Since their original release, Shenmue I & II have established a passionate following and are revered as one of gaming’s greatest series of all time,” Sega wrote. “These revolutionary masterpieces deliver a gripping story of retribution as Ryo Hazuki sets out to avenge his father’s death and attempts to unravel the secrets behind a mysterious artifact known as the Dragon Mirror.”

The rereleases feature support for “fully scalable screen resolution,” the choice of either modern or classic control schemes, numerous graphics options on PC, an updated user interface, and Japanese or English voiceovers. Sega adds that the rereleases “will stay true to the originals.”

Shenmue and Shenmmue II will be available digitally on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC later this year. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will also be getting a physical release.

The next entry in the series, Shenmue III, is still on track to release later this year for PlayStation 4 and PC.
