Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments will launch on Xbox One as well as 360, PS4, PS3, and PC this September, publisher Focus Home Interactive announced today.

This marks the sixth entry in developer Frogwares’ Sherlock Holmes–starring adventure game series. As the title indicates, Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment strongly influences the game, namely in how players rely on their wits to discern the guilty culprit and avoid condemning innocents. According to the publisher, Crimes & Punishments will feature six different cases to solve and each with a handful of different solutions that could result in between 6-10 endings.

New gameplay components, such as the “Character Analysis” ability, are inspired by the currently running BBC show Sherlock. Character Analysis allows Sherlock to use his keen eye to detect subtle anomalous on other characters, such as a dried bloodstain or the pale indent marking the absence of a wedding ring.

Crimes & Punishments had previously been confirmed for both PlayStation consoles, Xbox 360, and PC.
