Fans of Persona are a dedicated bunch, sticking with the oddball RPG series through thick and thin, and even following it from its role-playing origins to the fighting game scene. Now, those fans are getting a PS Vita-shaped treat.
In a partnership promotion with Sony, Altus has announced the “Persona 4 Golden: Solid Gold Premium Edition” for limited release—roughly 10,000 units in North America, to be exact.
Sure, it’ll set you back about $70, but there’s a nice little list of bonuses that come with the game:
- (1) Hori Hard Pouch, a screen-guard and storage pouch for the PS Vita and extra games.
- (1) Hori Face Cover
- (1) Protective Skin: “Adorns your PS Vita with the stylish, vibrant aesthetics of Persona 4 Golden and also includes eight matching character wallpapers. This same skin is being offered in limited quantities as a bonus for fans who pre-order P4G at participating retailers.”
- Stickers. Because some people like to cover their electronics in stickers, we guess?
In a rarity for localized titles, it’s the same deal that Japan gets with their Persona 4 The Golden release, so there’s no exclusive content or bonus goodies that need to be hunted down on import websites.
No release date for the game was confirmed, but GameStop and Amazon are taking pre-orders (sorry, Europe, but nothing for you this time around). One would think that “Fall 2012” is pretty close enough that they’d want to make that announcement right about now, but we guess that’s not going to be the case here.
