THE BUZZ: Rumors that Silent Hill: Downpour has been delayed until 2012 have abeen confirmed by Konami.
Several retailers changed the game’s release date from November to February 2012, and now a Konami representative has confirmed that game will ship in “Q2 2012,” which is between April and June.
EGM’s TAKE: A delay is bad but it will help the game in the long run as now it can avoid the packed Holiday season and release in the much quieter second quarter giving it a greater chance of success. Plus, maybe the extra time will assure it doesn’t suck.
How do you feel about the delay? Leave your thoughts below.
