SimCity‘s Mac release has been delayed from it’s expected launch sometime this month to an August release, a post on the SimCity blog announced.
“We have made this tough decision because we do not believe it is ready for primetime yet,” senior producer Kip Katsarelis said in the post. “We want to ensure the Mac is a great experience for our players and that is why we are taking more time.”
Because of the delay, Maxis and EA are including the Launch Park content awarded to early adopters in Patch 4.0.
SimCity debuted on Windows PC March 5th. THe release was plagued with server-related issues that have since been resolved. No specific release date in August has been given for the Mac release.
