Will Wright—the man responsible for creating such groundbreaking hits as SimCity and The Sims—now has his sights set on developing a mobile experience, one that’ll mimic real-life in some capacity.
“We [Syntertainment] are focused on a very specific idea which is probably going to lead on mobile,” Wright said in an interview with CNN Money. “I can broadly say it’s something that will connect to people and reality and the gameplay of their life and not so much on fictions or virtual worlds.”
The famed game developer formed new company Syntertainment after parting ways with Electronic Arts and Maxis, the studio he founded back in 2009.
“The biggest factor is that it’s always accessible to me,” Wright said when asked about the perks associated with mobile platforms. “It’s always in my pocket, and I can be out in the world doing things and still interacting.”
