Lab Zero Games’ 2D fighter Skullgirls Encore is coming to PS4 and PS Vita later this year, the studio’s CEO Peter Bartholow announced today on the PlayStation Blog.
According to Bartholow, both versions will be “complete,” containing all of the additional characerse, stages, and story content funded through Lab Zero’s Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. The Vita versionw ill also support PlayStation TV play with both DualShock 3 and DualShock 4 controllers.
Bartholow also provided an update on DLC character Eliza, who is fully playable now shy of a few animations (seen in action and absence in the video above). The remaining two new characters, the wrestler Beowulf and “remix” character Robo-Fortune, are in various stages of pre-production, with Beowulf further along and about to enter animation pre-production.
Skullgirls first debuted on PS3 and Xbox 360 in April 2012, only to be pulled from both platforms this past December due to a a change in publishers. The fighting game was subsequently re-released as Skullgirls Encore earlier this year.
