Skullgirls Encore, the relaunch of 2D fighting game Skullgirls, will be available to download via the PlayStation Network in North America from February 11, Lab Zero Games has announced.

The developer confirmed late last year that Skullgirls, originally released in 2012, would be removed from both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network due to a publishing deal with Konami coming to an end.

Those who already own Skullgirls will be sent a code via a PSN message to download Encore for free. It’s worth noting that the game will feature a fresh leaderboard and all previously downloaded DLC will no longer work. To compensate Lab Zero will be offering the Character Color DLC bundle for free for a limited time, alongside a new character called Squigly.

Release dates for the European and XBLA versions are yet to be confirmed. You can check out the full patch notes for Encore here.
