Skullgirls

THE BUZZ: The 2D, all female fighting game Skullgirls has been given an official release date by developer Reverge Labs.

The game will be available on the Xbox Live Arcade from April 11 priced at 1200 Microsoft Points. The developer still isn’t certain about the PSN release date but expects it to be April 10 priced at $14.99.

EGM’s TAKE: If you’re a fan of fighting games then Skullgirls should be right up your street. Don’t let the cute 2D sprite art style fool you, this is one hardcore fighter. The tag team style is slightly different in Skullgirls, any move can be used as an assist, as opposed to just set special moves. You can order your partner to dash in and take a hit for you or deliver direct attacks to extend combos. This one is certainly looking sweet, especially for a downloadable title.
