Vicarious Visions’ Skylanders: Swap Force is scheduled for a “day and date” release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the developer announced at E3.

The developer confirmed the news to Joystiq during a demo for the game. Of course the actual release dates of both consoles are still yet to be locked down, but you’ll be able to buy Swap Force alongside your console of choice regardless of when they launch.

The game is due to release Oct. 13 in North America and October 18 in Europe for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii, and Nintendo 3DS. The developer also confirmed that players will be able to use the same figurines for both the current and next generation versions of the game.
