The Skype app for Xbox One has received an update that improves chat synchronization, adds new emoticons, and squashes several bugs.
The update improves the synchronization between Skype on Xbox One and other devices, ensuring that you no longer miss messages. “We know that many of our users jump between using Skype on their PC to their phone and now to their living room. So we’ve been focused on enhancing this experience, keeping conversations in sync and reducing the number of missed messages to make your chat experience even better,” Skype wrote on its blog.
“Improved chat is now synchronized and comes with push notifications, alerting you when a new message arrives, and providing a longer chat history – up to 1,000 messages, rather than just the past 7 days.”
After installing the update, users will also be able to filter their contacts by who is online and make use of some new limited edition Captain America: The Winter Soldier emoticons. Finally, the update squashes several bugs that were present in the app, but the company didn’t to go into detail about them.
The Skype app requires an Xbox Live Gold membership to use.
