Skyrim – Bethesda Unhappy About Early Gameplay Streaming
Posted on November 7, 2011 AT 07:24am
THE BUZZ: Some gamers who have obtained pirated copies of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have been posting gameplay videos online, and Bethesda’s Pete Hines has revealed his frustration at those that have done this.
“What are you expecting me to say?” he said when asked how he felt about the gameplay appearing online. “Someone has a pirated copy of our game and is streaming it pre-launch. Um, I’m overjoyed.” When another fan asked him if he was mad he turned to sarcasm: “No, I’m completely nonplussed by people who pirate our games, whatever their defense/rationale.”
EGM’s TAKE: Let’s stop asking stupid questions. These mouth-breathers are not only pirating copies of the game, but they are posting their ill-gotten gains online and ruining the surprises. Are the hard working, usually easygoing, guys at Bethesda happy? Sure, just like Rembrant would have been if someone crapped all over one of his paint
