The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Bethesda has announced that fans are loving the mods available for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, with over 13 million downloaded so far.

“Skyrim Steam Workshop downloads are over 13.6 million,” the developer said on Twitter. The ability to download mods was added to the game via the Creation Kit, available via Steam. The kit allows players to create, upload, download and easily install mods for the game.

The community has done a fantastic job creating an insane number of mods. They range from simple weapon texture packs, to entire graphic upgrades for the game. If you’re looking for notoriety in the modding community then the Creation Kit could be the place to start, create something good enough and millions will download it.
