Earlier today Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes was announced to the world, and now a few more details about the game have surfaced online.
The new game from Kojima Productions is said to be open-world and feature real-time cutscenes powered by the new Fox Engine. Hideo Kojima showed off a 20 minute gameplay demo at the presentation, but sadly no filming was allowed.
However, according to GameSpot the demo took place on a remote, rainy military base and showed the protagonist–possibly Big Boss–sneaking around before switching to a third person aiming mode to take down a guard. “The demo gave out a sandbox open-world vibe; the military base itself felt expansive and huge, and Snake can summon a helicopter to bring him around as well as drive a jeep to go from point A to B,” the site revealed.
A Metal Gear Solid movie was also announced at the event, details can be found here.
