Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley apparently “can’t wait to see” EverQuest Next on the PlayStation 4, the exec teased in an interview with GamerHubTV.

“We haven’t announced technically that we’re putting it on the PlayStation 4, but it’s fair to say that we’re a Sony company, so I say that with a smile on my face,” Smedley told GamerHubTV. “Can’t wait to see it on PS4.”

Smedley went on to comment about how the PS4 stands out from Sony’s past home consoles, citing the 8GB of RAM that helps studio’s feel like they’re “developing on a really super high-end PC, but it’s even better than that” as well as the PlayStation Network, a platform Smedley can see MMOs benefiting from through features not normally seen in the genre.

EverQuest Next was announced earlier this year, in August, for Windows PC and Mac. For more on its companion game, EverQuest Next Landmark, check out Eric’s hands-on impressions.
