THE BUZZ: Microsoft and Clear Channel Radio have struck a deal to broadcast the sold-out iHeartRadio Music Festival on Xbox LIVE.

The high-profile, two-day Vegas music festival sold-out just 10 minutes after tickets went on-sale to the public. Featuring an impressive lineup of stars, the festival is scheduled to take place this Friday and Saturday, September 23 and 24. Touted as the biggest live concert in the history of radio, and also marks the official launch of the new iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s free digital radio service, broadcast to 800 stations in 150 cities.

“Since we announced the Festival in July, listener demand has been unprecedented, with fans across the country clamoring for a chance to be part of the biggest live concert in radio history, a show that sold out in just ten minutes,” said Bob Pittman, Chairman of Media and Entertainment Platforms for Clear Channel.  “This partnership with Xbox 360 means that those who cannot be in Las Vegas in person will have the opportunity to experience the event as well through an HD video stream exclusively on Xbox LIVE.”
Artists scheduled to appear include: Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Kenny Chesney, The Black Eyed Peas, Steven Tyler, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Jane’s Addiction, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Rascal Flatts, Bruno Mars, Sublime with Rome, Kelly Clarkson and special performances from Usher, Sting and Jeff Beck.
To watch the concert in all its HD glory, just login to your Xbox LIVE account and select it from the dashboard.

EGM’s TAKE: We have to admit, that’s an impressive line-up of stars both old (Steve Tyler) and new (Gaga). Plus, you can’t beat the price. Of course it doesn’hold-up to a nice Vegas getaway, and presumably your chances to hook up aren’t nearly as good in your living room. But if winging (or hoofing) it to Vegas doesn’t fit in your travel plans, this is certainly worth a look. Just avoid the brown Cheetos.

Marc Camron somehow survived E3. The crowds were big, the games were loud and somehow he managed to get a sunburn on the top of his big, bald melon. Yet, despite all of this, he had a blast, seeing people he only sees once a year, playing all of the new games, and staying up way past his bedtime. Next year he might even have a beer.
