Hurricane Sandy has been ripping through the east coast destroying homes, flooding subways, and totaling various areas. However, this isn’t the only thing that it has done, the hurricane has also knocked out certain Activision data centers meaning that online play is unavailable for a few titles.
According to a post over on One of Swords, certain data centers are without power following the disaster and so online services are unavailable in the following games:
- Guitar Hero (all titles and platforms)
- Call of Duty: World at War (all platforms)
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3)
- Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3, PC, Wii)
“Due to the hurricane that affected the East Coast of the United States, multiplayer gaming with some of our online title is experiencing connectivity issues. We appreciate your patience,” the publisher said in a statement.
