Sony has reset the passwords of a number of North American PlayStation Network accounts after “irregular activity” was detected.

“If you are getting an error that your PSN account password is incorrect, you may need to reset it,” a post on the official PlayStation forums reads. “We routinely monitor for irregular activity, and if such activity is detected, we may sometimes reset passwords of affected SEN accounts to protect consumers and their account information.”

Last week the company’s European arm did the same thing with a number of accounts.
