Sega has announced that the mobile version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is available from today on iOS and Android.
The mobile version adds 75 new events and a new World Tour mode. Auto-acceleration is mandatory and all players have to worry about is steering, drifting, and using power-ups.
The game’s multiplayer mode is locked until players progress so far through the World Tour mode, or purchase the game’s VIP Pass for $4.99, which unlocks multiplayer, a few extra racers, and grants some “Rings” (the game’s Premium currency). Players must use these rings to replay completed races on a higher difficulty.
The game will set you back $4.99 on both iOS and Android, propped up by in-app purchases. Players can choose to bypass the Ring currency to replay races by purchasing a pass which unlocks all races on every difficulty forever.
Finally, if players manage to complete a full set of weekly challenges they will unlock Shenmue’s lead character Ryo Hazuki, who pilots a retro arcade cabinet.
