Sonic Jump Hits iOS With $2 Price Tag, Gets October 18 Release Date

Sega has dug deep into their pockets for their next mobile release, but it’s thankfully not going to cost Sonic fans very much. As announced on the company’s Twitter feed, Sonic Jump is launching in two days.
That’s a quick turnaround from the initial reveal of the mobile title, and the 2-dollar tag is nothing to sneeze at.
A single screenshot has been shared from the Twitter post, showing that it’s a slightly polished version of the older smartphone title, most likely with optimized visuals for the iPhone’s Retina Display models:
Sonic Jump will be available globally on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch on 18th October for $1.99, AUD$1.99, £1.49, €1.59 twitter.com/SEGA/status/25…

It’s also a global release, so everyone won’t have to wait very long to get a steady stream of user reviews about the game, either.
(I’m sure they’ll be very fair-handed.)
This marks the seventh Sonic title that Sega’s sent to iPhones and iPads in a rather short amount of time. Other mobile titles starrig the Blue Blur include ports of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, and Sonic & Sega All-Stars, plus two episodes of the mobile-exclusive Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
