Sony And LG End Patent Dispute

It has today been announced by LG that the patent dispute between themselves and Sony has now ended. The two firms agreed to sign a cross licensing deal in order to bring the dispute to an end.

LG and Sony recently agreed to drop patent infringement lawsuits against each other,a Spokeswoman at LG said today.

The two firms were involved in a bitter dispute which led to LG confiscating PS3 shipments to the EU. Sony began the dispute after filing a complaint against LG to block its smartphones in the US.
