Sony Announces PS Vita, Memory Card Price Drops: Both Models Now $200

Effective today, Sonny announced price cuts for both PlayStation Vita models and Vita memory cards.

Both the Wi-Fi and the 3G Vita models are now $200, a $50 price drop for the Wi-Fi model and a $100 dollar drop for the 3G Vita.

In addition, the 4GB Vita memory card has shaved $5 off its price point, lowering its cost to $14.99, the 8GB card is now $19.99 (down from $29.99), the 16GB card is now $39.99 (previously $59.99), and the 32GB memory card is now $79 (down from its original $99).

“I’m excited to announce that the PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) system is now available for $199.99 MSRP in North America, making it a compelling value for gamers,” SCEA product planning and platform software innovation director Don Mesa posted on the PlayStation Blog. “With some amazing games coming out in the next few months, including Killzone Mercenary and Tearaway, along with connectivity to the PlayStation 4 (PS4) system through ‘Remote Play,’ now is the perfect time to become a PS Vita owner.”
